Ooh it’s been a hot minute since I had a Friday post! I’ve had a bunch of windows open and ready to share, but then I get swept up in prepping for my weekend and I forget to hit that “publish” button. (When National Donut Day and a Beyonce concert happen on the same day, there is just too much sugar and excitement happening to sit still for very long. #bestfridayever) While I don’t have tickets for another Beyonce concert this weekend, I am getting together with some girlfriends for a little R&R: massages, dinner, sleepover.
I hope you’re doing something fun this weekend!
My girl Alex created Wayfair’s first blogger e-cookbook, which features simple summer recipes by bloggers from all over the country. She did a stellar job on it, and you can get your own free copy here.
Pit bulls are so misunderstood and misrepresented. This is a great project to help turn around the stigma.
A mini party on your feet. (And on sale.)
Happy Pride Month! Boston’s Pride festivities are this weekend, and I’m loving this shirt for lots of reasons.
Even in the summer, black is my go-to color and I love mixing-and-matching different pieces of black bathing suits. This top would be fun to add to the mix.
Make a donation to support the Hispanic Federation and you are entered to win tickets to Hamilton … and some hangout time with Lin-Manuel Miranda. A pretty sweet bonus for doing something good.
Arguably the best lip stain I’ve tried. It’s so creamy and long-lasting.
A very serious and important purchase for the summer.
Okay, now get outside and enjoy your weekend!
Friday, at long last. I’ve been pretty quiet over here this week. There have been a bunch of fun things going on, but when I get home, I’m tired and want nothing more than snuggle my dogs and watch tv. And… if we’re being perfectly honest, I’ve been battling some ennui (caused by the time of year paired with a case of comparing-myself-to-others-on-the-internet… never a good idea).
BUT! Today is the first day of The Annual. Perfect timing to get me out of this stupid funk.
So if this time of year gets you feeling kind of blah too, I have a bunch of fun links to cheer up your Friday, Only a few more weeks until spring!
Holy cow. You guys, Prince’s passport photo slays.
I want to cover my ceiling with this.
Two amazing mash-ups: Misty Copeland (my hero) x Degas and War and Peace x the runway.
I want to try this face mask.
This DIY glitter tumbler may need to be made this weekend.
These macarons are so pretty.
My friend, and fellow blogger, Amanda is participating in Yoga Reaches Out in May. She’s raising money, and if you donate as little as $5, you’ll be entered to win a yoga mat that’s been jazzed up with beautiful calligraphy by posh + prep. Find out more here.
Ideal spring dress.
Target’s Who What Wear collection is cute AND you don’t have to risk your life to get your hands on some. Two of my favorite pieces are this belt and this skirt.
I foresee this dress joining my closet soon. Minimalist perfection.
The Oscars are this weekend- will you be tuning in? I probably will be, if only to see Leo in a tux (and hopefully channeling Jack Dawson).
Have a good weekend!
WOOOOO. Snow day here! It was almost sixty degrees yesterday, and a snowy heaven today. Grab a blanket, make a mug of hot chocolate, and enjoy a few links:
I’m so glad I live in the time of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
I don’t need another pineapple, I don’t need another pineapple, I don’t need this.
I got one of my favorite tops at J.Crew so long ago and haven’t seen a similar one… until this one!
I need to get on the eyebrow-grooming train. I hear that this is a great pencil. (What do you use?)
Did you think I would go without mentioning my favorite thing ever, Hamilton?
Filed under snobby and funny: what your favorite brand of champagne says about you.
How to feel pretty when you’re bundled from head-to-toe? Pretty lips!
I’m pretty sure I need this dress. (Snow pants optional.)
We went to the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert last night, and it reignited my crush on sax player, Jake Clemons. He has such swagger! ::swoon::
Also, can someone with Showtime invite me over? I’ll bring the wine, you let me watch this Michael Jackson documentary.
Woo, Friday! I’m glad this week is over. There have been big and kind of scary changes at my office, and that’s never fun. On the positive side of things, I got to check out a few cool things around Boston this week and finished watching the Star Wars movies (can you believe that I’ve never seen any of them before?!). We’re seeing Episode VII tonight, and I can’t wait!
Now, on to some fun links… continue reading
Woo it’s Friday, I have the best weekend lined up. Tomorrow, I’m headed to the gym early (because 2016 is the year that I become a runner again) and then brunch and then a hair appointment with my fav Shag stylist, Nicole. After I get all re-colored, I’m headed to a Ladies Night Out dinner and posh hotel sleepover with some girlfriends where we will NOT have to battle the blizzard that Massachusetts is dodging. Then Sunday is brunch again and maybe another run if I’m not hungover or if I don’t give up my running goal. continue reading
