I met up with Madeline during a balmy afternoon to shoot this outfit. We met electronically via a Facebook group, and made plans to collaborate. I love her work, and was excited to meet her IRL. I immediately loved her. We chatted about all sorts of things – the beauty of Beacon Hill, pets, hair stylists, our love for California. She is a fabulous person and a total lady-crusader, and my unbiased opinion is that you should follow her on Instagram if you don’t already.

This outfit is made of pretty classic pieces: a (faux) leather skirt with leopard print and a camel leather bag. These are pieces that will be in my closet until they literally fall apart. Can we take a second to admire this bag? I found it at a thrift store for a whopping $10, and while there’s no brand markings, it looks like a vintage Coach bag. It holds an insane amount of stuff, and I’ve been using it non-stop because it’s that perfect color that goes with basically everything.

Outfit details

Sweater: J. Crew. This is the Tippi sweater, which is one of their classic styles that has endless rotating colors so if leopard isn’t your vibe, they have TONS of other options.

Skirt: J.Crew but I scored it at one of my fav consignment stores in Portsmouth, NH called Wear House.

Bag: Vintage, but some similar vintage options are here, here, here, and here.

Shoes: Steve Madden. I’ve had these forever and couldn’t find a link to the exact ones, but they’re not crazy unique and there are a lot of similar styles available. Try here, here, or here.
