Have you ever admired a style or trend on someone, but been too afraid to try it? Same. I loved statement sleeves on everyone I saw, but nonetheless shied away from them. Thank goodness for my friends at The Closet Electric. They knew the power of the sleeve.

The sleeves are so fun, and I couldn’t help but dance around when I had it on. Because the top is a little voluminous, I paired it with skinny jeans to balance out the look. Same dance moves, new sleeves.

I’m also wearing my current favorite heels. Long story short, I fell in love with them via an unrelated brand’s look book. Because said unrelated brand didn’t sell these shoes, I went on an internet hunt and finally found these – which were inconveniently six hundred dollars more than I wanted to pay for them. Amen for price alerts, because a few months after finding them, a handful of sizes in this light grey color went on sale. 60% off to be exact. They were still more than I wanted to pay, but considering I had gone months without ending anything that held a candle to these, I bit the bullet and am SO happy that I did. They’re basically perfect, imho.

Don’t be surprised if you see me wearing this top all of time IRL too, because I’m addicted to how fun it is and it may or may not have started a spiral of ruffles on everything. (I ain’t sorry.)

(Side note: How amazing is this mural?! It’s on the side of a Five Guys in San Diego. Boston, can we step up our street art game? Coolthankssss.)
