Relaxed denim, boyfriend jeans, girlfriend jeans- whatever you call them, I was scared of them for a long time. I tried a few pairs but didn’t immediately find a match. No matter what brand I tried, they were baggy in the wrong spots and tight in the wrong spots. I wrote the style off as being something I just couldn’t wear and gave up the search.

On a whim, I tried on this pair at Ann Taylor.

Since I am wearing them in these photos, you know the ending to this story. Girl meets pants, girl buys pants, girl wears pants in blog photos because she loves how the casual nature of the loose denim pair with the dressier element of a lace top.

It’s a case of opposites attract, and I dig it.
