Valentine’s Day is a pretty polarizing holiday. I definitely feel that a sweet token or a fun date is the way to go. You do whatever works for you, but I think grand gestures are best for birthdays, anniversaries, or absolutely no occasion (which makes it an ULTRA surprise).
Fun Date
Dinner in any restaurant around Valentine’s Day makes me uncomfortable. Heart-shaped ravioli? No thanks. Head to Muse Paintbar where you and your date create your own paintings with step-by-step instruction from a local artist while enjoying a menu of wine, beer, and small bites. It’s so much fun. Worry not about going home with two very similar images. During Muse’s Couple Night (running February 12 to 14), the canvas you paint forms a larger piece of art when positioned with the canvas your date paints. There are four locations around Massachusetts, including a newly opened location at Somerville’s Assmebly Row.
Simple Craft Project
It’s Saturday and you have time to hit a craft store and make something this evening. Her Campus has a roundup of cute projects. (I love a lot of these for gal pals too.)
Sweet Token of Love
Feeling pressured and can’t get your creative juices flowing? Take a look at this roundup for inspiration, and tailor accordingly to fit your Valentine’s tastes.
No matter what you do, I hope you have a great day tomorrow.
Love these + hope you two had the best Val-Day!! xx
