Crop top: Express / Skirt: Asos (here or here) / Flats: Steve Madden (similar here and here)
Ah, the double-edge sword of being busy IRL. On the plus side, you’re doing fun things, seeing people, being social! You’re getting ideas and photos to use for blog content! On the down side, you’re busy doing things and not busy converting it to an actual post. Life is also accumulating, so then you have stuff to catch up on (laundry, dishes, vacuuming the endless supply of hairballs produced by your dog).
Boston has so many fun events, store pop-ups, and restaurant openings that my calendar has been full. I have LOTS to share with you, but for today, we’ll start with an outfit that I shot with Miranda on a day much warmer than today.
I love a pleated midi-skirt. Because of its length, it’s always appropriate for work. If you pair it with a tee or tank, it just as easily fits into a weekend wardrobe.
Ankle-strap flats and a crop top were on the docket for this weekend casual look. It was warm when we shot this, but imagine it paired with a long camel color coat. Add some black booties (heel or no heel, whichever works in this imagination of yours). If you’re feeling wild, throw a faux fur stole around your shoulders. Boom, we have magically transitioned this outfit for cold temps.
I’ve linked to some items below, in case you want to know exactly what I would pair with this to make it seasonally appropriate. Now if/when I reshoot this outfit with aforementioned items, pretend to be surprised.
