In November, I attended a blogger event sponsored by Wayfair. It was SO MUCH FUN and a great way to kick off the holiday season. The Wayfair office was decorated to the nines (not sure what else you’d expect from the mecca of all-things home decor). From the fireplace (yes, they have a fireplace in the office) to the mantles, from the bookshelves to the side tables- everything looked beautiful. They also had a giant tree with wrapped presents underneath, and the boxes were not empty! At the end of the event, they surprised us by letting us pick a gift from under that tree.
In my box was a set of copper salt and pepper shakers. Because we do dinner pretty casually at our house (coffee table and couch, if I’m being totally honest), I have been looking for a creative way to use the shakers. They’re very large, so I thought that powdered sugar would be awesome in the “S” shaker!
We made my favorite waffle recipe (found over at Sprouted Kitchen) the other day, and it was a perfect time to put these shakers to the test to the test.

Using a tip a learned from Style Me Pretty’s Abby Larson- bring a natural element into your place setting!
All of the dry ingredients for the waffles- NOM
I’m so happy that it’s blood orange season. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH.
Also…what’s breakfast without a Bellini? I didn’t make a traditional Bellini, which uses peach puree. Instead, I gave it a pomegranate twist.
Pomegranate Bellini
- 2 oz pomegranate juice (look for 100% juice, so you’re not drinking red sugar water)
- 3 oz champagne/Prosecco
- A spoonful of pomegranate seeds
Mix. Serve, Drink.
A small bottle of bubbly, since I’m the only one who was drinking this!
Bon appétit!
What a great series of shots! This is a beautiful post all around and is really making me crave blood oranges now. 😉
Plz make me one I’ll bring something I don’t know what it is but I WANT A BELLINI!
